NIRDC Opens South India Regional Office in Bengaluru to Empower MSMEs and Local Industries
Bengaluru : The National Industries Research and Development Council (NIRDC) inaugurated its South India Regional Office and Facilitation Centre today in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The new facility, located at 1st Floor, San Diego Building, 357, 1st Block, Koramangala, aims to enhance support for grassroots industrial development, particularly for MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and rural industries.
The event was attended by Mr. Shambu Singh ( I.A.S. RTD ), National Chairman of NIRDC, and Mr. Vemappli Ammnulla, Regional Chairman (South India), NIRDC, who emphasized the Council’s renewed focus on enabling inclusive economic growth.
Evolving into a Digital-First Growth Enabler
The inauguration also marks the official transition of the former National Industries Development Council Committee (NIDCC) into the modern, tech-driven NIRDC, reflecting the Council’s commitment to innovation, outreach, and implementation of central industrial policies at the grassroots level.
“Many people don’t know where to begin or how to access available resources. We want to change that by spreading awareness and offering the right guidance,” said Mr. Vemappli Ammnulla. “Our goal is to foster employment, empower small businesses, and contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).”
Facilitation Centre to Serve as Support Hub for Entrepreneurs
The newly launched Facilitation Centre – Karnataka Zone 1, housed within the Bengaluru office, will provide a one-stop solution for entrepreneurs and MSMEs. Key services include:
Assistance with accessing government schemes
Training and skill development programs
Regulatory and compliance guidance
Help in securing funding and financial support
The centre is designed to bridge the gap between policy and execution, thereby boosting regional business growth and job creation.
InDApp: A Unified Digital Platform for MSMEs
As part of its forward-looking strategy, NIRDC is developing InDApp, a nationwide digital platform that will integrate access to schemes, expert guidance, and essential services for industries and MSMEs. The initiative aims to simplify processes and foster an ecosystem of inclusive and technology-driven industrial growth.
